FBC Fairview is made up of about 130 people who have been saved by grace and are going after God with a joyful seriousness. We believe that it's God design for every Christian to be a part of a local body of believers (Hebrews 10:23-25). We believe that since Jesus loved the church so much that He died for it, then we ought to love the church so much that it becomes a very important and consistent part of our lives (Acts 20:28). Charles Spurgeon said,"Imperfect as it is, the church is still the dearest place on earth to us...All who have first given themselves to the Lord, should, as speedily as possible, also give themselves to the Lord's people. How else is there to be a Church on the earth? If it is right for anyone to refrain from membership in the Church, it is right for everyone, and then the testimony for God would be lost to the world!" We agree.
So, if you're a Christian, we encourage you to be a part of a local church. The Bible says you should. And if you don't have a church that you call home, we would love for you to be a part of us.
